Title: 4 state Moto trip
Post by: Scott of the Sahara on June 15, 2020, 02:17:36 PM
What started out to be a huge trip to Grand Canyon got revised to a Yellowstone trip that got revised to a 4 state 4 day 3 night trip.
There were going to be 4 riders, then three and we ended up with 2. My friend Bill lives in Spokane WA. so I put the Norge in the back of my van and hauled it the 300 miles to his house. This saved me two days of riding in questionable weather on the freeway.(http://[img]<br />[img]https://i.ibb.co/CW1NWfP/IMG-2859.jpg)

I have done this 3 or 4 times over the years. This time I didn't take much out of the van. That turned out to be a mistake. The Norge was centered too far back and the handling was all over the road. I felt like I was driving a boat.
The next day we rode I-90 From Spokane to Missoula MT. This day the weather was iffy and we were prepared for a bit of rain. It didn't happen much.just a few drops. But we had cool and overcast weather. We stopped in Wallace ID. and I was able to experience my first meal dining in since March. We were walking around Missoula and we came upon a Moto dealer. They had some 4 wheelers out front and this:

The Cozy Side car is tiny. It should be called Tiny. The next day we rode out to Lolo and went down Lolo pass. Brrr. It was 37 degrees at the top. We had a nice ride with a few drops of rain. The second night we stayed in McCall ID. For the Third day the weather got nice and warm. We rode mostly west to Baker City on two lane roads through Hell's Canyon. Wow it was nice riding.

We made it to LeGrange for the third night. The fourth day we rode to Enterprise OR. and through the Rattlesnake Canyon to Lewiston ID.

We were prepared to stay in Lewiston but we got there at 1:00 PM and decided to head all the way back to Spokane. Total Miles 950.9 (plus 600 in the sprinter van)

Sounds like a great trip.  And that's a Cozy sidecar?  Looks like a reproduction of an old sidecar.  How small is it?  Will it fit a full grown man?

No. I hacked a Bonnie 865 with a Cozy.  My 7 year old fit fine, my 5 foot 4 125 pound bride did not.

Thanks.  Still looks great and would work like a really really big tank bag, I guess.  :)

That's it!!  At least, I think so.  My memory sucks lately.  I'm really starting to identify with Chuck's signature:

I think senility is going to be a fairly smooth transition for me..
