I am wiring the Eldovert and have a spare pair of ignition coils from my ‘03 V11. Other than the obvious problem of finding or making the female pin connectors for the newer coils, is there any reason the newer coils wouldn’t work?

Would I check ohms across the two posts of the coil?
-
As I remember, the latter coils measure around .5 ohms vs original coils 3-5 ohms, not interchangeable.

What ignition system are you going to be running? In my Ambo-vert I went with single point distributor and a dual pole Harley coil (5 Ohm), runs just fine. DonG

No. <shrug>

In a word, No.

The ones for the ECU are probably short dwell time, low resistance, coils. Not likely to work with older long dwell systems.
