I've seen them sell for $1200 when everything was done right. Mark @ Moto Guzzi Classics would know the value better.

Well, I guess if you really want them, you pay what you have to. There’s no repops out there of these

Wow.  I bought a set...more than several years ago from Mark.  They were (are) perfect.  Not that expensive.
There isn't a lot to them- a competent welder could easily make the rails.  The rest is the same hardware used on a G5 or similar.

Along those lines, I saw a used cylinder and piston (just 1, mind you) for a Ducati bevel 750 on ebay for $2400US.

Shipping was free.
