Title: Guzzis in the Blue Ridge
Post by: Twinboy on July 28, 2020, 06:48:50 PM
Just a reminder that the Guzzis in the Blue Ridge Rally is happening this weekend at Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground in Cruso NC. Always a very laid back rally with a great variety of Guzzis and interesting folks show up! The local Guzzi riders from the Asheville area will be there!

I'm hoping to get out of here Thursday afternoon depending how those storms track.  Best self quarantine you can do is on a motorcycle :)

I’m glad to see you guzzi brothers meeting in my state!
That is a beautiful area and it should be a little cooler at those elevations. I’d love to make it but since I’m in between guzzis now I’d hate to come riding up on my 83 Honda CB1000C or light weight 82 GL500I in the middle of those guzzis🤣 however the little 500 does favor a guzzi and I don’t care what Honda says, they did get that motor design from Italy👍

Second on bring it.

There was a GL500 rally there one year including a father/teenage son combo.  The GL was his first bike.

I am moving to Georgia August 2nd. Won't make it this year.  I do plan on being at the north Georgia event.
Leaving Florida. I will miss it, but I need to be with my grandkids.

The first time I want to the Blue Ridge Guzzi gathering I was on a Ninja.  Of course I didn't know there was a Guzzi gathering at the campground I happened to choose to stay at.  LOL!  Everyone was happy to show off and explain their bikes to me.  It was many years later that I got my first Guzzi.

Yeh just bring plenty of provisions (beer, wine, hooch, and cigars) to feed the poor retirees with :)

Wish I could make it but I’ll be hauling a 1973 vw beetle from Chattanooga ten area up to new owners in Green Bay Wisconsin and completing a few family obligations while up there.  Everyone have a great time!
