Title: Rarest Cali 1100 variant?
Post by: OldMojo on August 09, 2020, 10:22:06 AM
With the recent surfacing of a Flint Orange Stone, and at least two Aluminums spotted for sale, it got me to wondering which California version might be the rarest.

Stone Metal?
Titanium?
HD&M?
Limestone White Stone?

What about the Aquila Neras? Did anyone buy that bike?

Once and only once I have seen:

Bright yellow Jackal
Root beer Bassa

But of course I don't get out as much as some others here, so the answer is probably something I've never heard of.

Of course. I didn't think about the anniversary bikes. Although that one is actually a 2012 California 90 - the grand finale.

That one was better received than the 2002 EV80. They just went overboard with the red.

Its so hard to judge because you see so few Guzzis of any type..  I know I have never seen myself pass by on my Stone Metal..  A few I have seen on line, but thats it.. Cant have been many made.

Seems like it would be the Black Eagle, or any of that last round of 90th anniversary Cali when the 1400 was introduced....  not many were made and not many sold once they shared showroom space with the new 1400

I always wanted a Black Eagle hack rig, that would be sweet.

If you include all the '88/'89 and later Californias, the rarest would be the '91 California with the big valve Lemans engine. Only 15 came to the US. This is mine with a Cal Vintage seat on it.

Nice one Denis, how do you identify those, and also, do those have the 7/33 rear drive or the 8/33?

Beautiful bike Denis. Now please don’t think I’m being critical, I’m not, but I think a black seat would go with the colors better. Please don’t wack me😂
