Title: Jackal side covers
Post by: nsmith on August 11, 2020, 08:30:41 AM
Can anyone show me what holds the top of a Jackal side cover in place. I'm missing something unless they just mount by the two bottom bolts and the top just comes along for the ride.

One bolt on the bottom , one on the front . Have effectively hinged mine by drilling a hole on the rear of the cover and running a black zip tie thru the hole and around the frame tube the cover parallels . Now removing it simply requires pulling the front bolt and swinging it back out of the way .

The upper one can be a bear to get back in unless you are able to lay flat on your back and look up.
Good idea Dusty!

Yep . Replacing a blown fuse along a dark road gets a whole lot easier when all ya gotta do is remove the front bolt .
