Front works fine but no rear brake light.

The rear switch is hydraulically operated and sits on top of the rear master cylinder . Pull the wires and connect them with a jumper , if the brake light comes on it is the switch .

Did it turn out to be the rear switch? I have a new one on the shelf if you need it.

Could then check the wiring that runs under the fender, It can fall down, get rubbed and short out.
