Better take care of the weird noises before riding home.

I'd be way leery of 1600 bucks.  What's wrong?

It could be a major bargain with only 11k miles & the strange noise could be simply valve adjustments that have never taken place,,,,but,,,

There's well owned bikes and then there is this one,,, while his bike's engine is making funny noises, rather than find the problem and fix it, he takes it out for a run, does the ton, and gives a seal of approval because it didn't blow up; who can argue with that type of logic and mechanical prowess,,, lol

      next,,,

With the seller saying 'super fast' and bragging about speed, it is probably thrashed. Typical Norge riders don't talk like this.
Probably a good FLY, RIDE, TOW, REPAIR bike.

I contacted the guy through Face Book asking if the bike would be ok for a fly and ride back to Minnesota, his response follows, I also asked if he has the factory bags and he said there are no bags. I requested more pictures he says he will send. If I get more from him I’ll post here. A $1000.00 Norge somewhat running Norge might make a great parts bike...who knows maybe with a little $ and care it could be good. It would be nice if some Utah member could check it out before spending too much time on it.

I wouldn’t personal ride it that far. I drove it from cedar which I’d a couple hour ride, but it definitely needs some mechanical attention. The bike blue books close to 5,000$ I’d let you take it for 1,000$ if you want it? I’ll send you current pics tomorrow in daylight.

The guy says he posted a video of the bike on his Facebook add. I saw it, but couldn’t figure out how to make a link to it. It’s missing most of the lower Tupperware ware. He says he has some but some are broken. It’s a very quick video so hard to see detail. This requires somebody going to look at the bike.

Someone here took all the lower fairing parts off a silver norge, leaving the engine exposed while maintaining the windshield etc... it looked cool as hell

Agreed, they do, probably run cooler too...

I’ve had the side panels off as well, but the lines where the handlebar piece joins look awful and unbalanced.

This is much more logically a drive and trailer home bike...or you could try to get it up to 120 mph just to show him up :) make sure you take a photo of the speedo at 120 too.
