Title: Cal Special Sport $500
Post by: fotoguzzi on August 31, 2020, 12:15:09 PM
I'm not interested, posting in case someone else might be. About 80k but started right up, needs a clutch, has no forward motivation. A bit tired looking but it's the original owner in suburban Mpls.stock pipes and a Swannee fairing included.

Foto with your experience you could pick this up crab the frame install new clutch and sell it for at least $2500. If you don’t want to send me a link, I looked and couldn’t find it.

That bike should part out for 3 times the asked price.

It's not on CL.. I'm not interested in doing the work and don't think it would find any buyers at $2500. Plus my work space is filled up with this

It's a bit worn looking, bubbling engine paint, a little rust on fasteners, rocker cover paint or coating peeling, 80,000 miles.. could be a good rider for the guy who doesn't care about looks. As for parting it out I'm skeptical of your 3times the investment.. Guzzi parts don't sell like they used to, I've parted out my share and still have a lot of Centauro parts that didn't even get bids on eBay.
2 guys have interest and I forwarded the info.
The owner has a beautiful restored Norton, a Cal 1400 Eldorado and two Rocket 3's one looks like this,

Just to close out this discussion. It was bought by a friend of a friend so hopefully back on the road soon.
