Post by: Canuck750 on September 06, 2020, 05:25:58 PM

This is sure pretty, $18,400 Buy It Now, it looks to be original other than the fork brace has been added.

Looks pretty nice!  What's the purpose of the grounding straps to the rocker cover bolts, I wonder?

Did that even make blue ones in '78? That one has been repainted. Otherwise looks fairly original.

Grounding the plug wire shielding I'm guessing?

So when you hit 88 MPH you don't go back in time.

Back in 1978, bought a red one, exactly like this, (Photo from the Barber Museum),  brand new down in Austin, TX.  Paid about $3800...

I was 23 years old, and this was the bike that replaced with the insurance money from my STOLEN 1978 Yamaha 750 Special!

It was my FIRST Guzzi. Rode it for about 2 years, then, in 1980 SOLD it in NORCAL to an semiconductor equipment engineer for about $3000, (...who knew?).

Then, I moved to Arizona, (for work).  Always wonder if that bike is still around somewhere...

It was an original colour in England then.

YES.  But there’s a flush with the fairings headlight, and lack of ugly reflectors on turn signals.  Kinda like a Series 1 ‘ 76.
