Title: 2 thousands is a lot at times
Post by: Ncdan on September 07, 2020, 12:39:33 PM
My 2002 Stone’s valves was what I Thought  a little Excessive or “busy” noise wise, at best. I finally got around to getting them checked today, as well as the TB’s checked, which was good.
Using the 4 and 6 values both sides exhaust was “a couple thousands off (wide) and the intakes were a little open also. Going home, after warming up, it was much quieter, could still faintly heat them, but much less pecking noise.
All is well with the Stone now, heading to the NC Outer Banks this week end👍

A lot of people set them to .006 and .008, the euro specs.
Most likely they were set to those specs.
Glad the TBs checked out for you.

👍
There is quite a difference in the valve noise from where it was to after the adjustment as now you can hear them ticking as before they were pecking
