Title: Timing Chain Sprocket Marks Alignment

On a V1000G5, I have reinstalled timing chain, but marks do not align exactly. They align at least as well as they did before disassembly, but slightly different orientation. Is this good to go in attached picture and withing the adjustment range of the dizzy or do I need to take it off and try again for perfect alignment?

  How would you suspect you can get closer than that , considering how everything is located on the sprockets ?
  The distributor couldn't care less where those marks are , (it can be rotated 360 degrees).  Peter

That's about as close to perfect as you'll get on older Tontis. Good to go.

Don't forget to bend the lock washer tab over.

The easy way to check, the inlet valve and exhaust valve rock at TDC
Get it out by one tooth and it will be obvious.
When I say rock I mean as you approach TDC one Valve will be closing.
As you go past TDC the other valve will be opening.
Right at TDC they will both be partially open.
This is the same for any 4 stroke I have seen.

Its a Guzzi, not a precision piece:) There's a limit to how accurate timing marks can be with chain driven cams. Not like lovely Gears:)
