I would have thought someone would have bid on this by now, no takers yet and likely a reserve above the real market value

Looks to be original other than the iconic 6 into 6 exhaust has been replaced with a 6 into 2, reproduction 6 into 6 are available but not cheap.
A King and Queen seat with a sissy bar does NOT belong on this sporting Italian beauty!
I would love to have it but can't see paying much more than the starting price. Most all of these were recalled for transmission dog failure and apparently the 'fix' wasn't great. The transmission failure is said to be what broke the partnership between Benelli and Cosmopolitan as DeTomasso failed to fully reimburse the importer for the recall.
Isn't this a great view

$8100 may be a tad too spendy...but it's a cool vintage bike...and I agree...that bucket saddle / back-rest needs to GO!

It really needs a wind jammer and some shitty plastic cheapo saddlebags to round out the package. DonG

SOLD! For $9205.

SOLD! For $9205.
I think that was a fair price for seller and buyer. It will probably take around $4 ~ $5K to clean it up and return it to original provided the transmission isn't about to self destruct.
A rare bike, I hope the new owner returns it to its original spec.
