Title: V7 Weirdness
Post by: Kiwi_Roy on October 24, 2020, 03:40:46 PM
If you turn the key on and push the bike forward the lights turn On, stay on for 10 seconds after you stop moving.
It will do this even when the kill switch is open.
I wonder how Luigi came up with that logic.
I'm not complaining, I just think its strange.

I can just see you all racing out to try it LOL

I must’ve just did that very thing this morning. I was wondering why my headlight was on. I noticed it because I now have an LED, and cool white bouncing off the bushes surprised me, as the little light is still a warm light.

Another thing I discovered today, the bars are not grounded at least not properly.
Its kind of intermittently grounded, I think through the clutch cable, Insulated by rubber bushes around the bolts.
I decided to do something about that.
Added a ground wire, on the LH side there's a convenient 6mm stud, a 10mm lug for the bar riser bolt with a short wire.

BTW there's a good source of 12 Volts (switched fuse A) at the front brake switch e.g. to power up a USB charger or GPS.

Try rolling it forward with the kill switch engaged,
high beam switch on, and the left turn signal activated.

The horn will beep once every 300 meters.

I'll take your word for that.

Just don’t let it roll backwards with the switches in that configuration.

Yup i noticed that feature on my V7II . I love it ! Great for moving the bike around in an unlit shed or campground . As for the backwards part , umm, I’ll have to verify that . Maybe when I’m super bored .
