Does anyone happen to know the capacity (in liters, cubic inches, whatever) for the California Vintage panniers? I've searched the net high and lo, and cannot find this bit of spec. Thanks!

If yours got the old plastic hinges, then you should mount these:

Sorry I can only guess, 20-23L at best. They are on the smallish size.

Hey! Thanks for attempting to answer my question! I appreciate it!

You could always figure it out with a 5-gallon bucket and a metric conversion table

I got my hinges, He does mention "they are a bit larger" I took the die grinder to mine and re-painted. Bolting them down didn't seem like a good idea to me.

"He" is me
In my case they fit with M5(?) washers underneath.
I also wrote below the video...
Mounting tips:
- In some cases the hinges might fit better when you put a washer underneath.
- Use screws with a 12 mm thread (instead of the original ones with 10 mm).
- Mount all 4 screws before tightening.

Kinda thought it was you. I decided I'd rather make the hinges fit and spread the pressure out over a larger area than add washers. I have a die grinder and some paint. I just had to bob the corners off a little. :thumb:

I bolted the old plastic POS to the new hinge and went after it with a cut-off disk on the die grinder. A little file work, sanding, paint and oh, enlarge the bolt holes just a little, some new screws from the Ace store and a little lock tight and SHAZAM! That's a HUGE improvement! THANKS JANGUZZI!

18 beers and some ice!

My EVT bags must be bigger. 30 pack on one side and a few bags of ice in the other. I think you can even just slide a bag of potato chips next to the 30 pack.

I've had 3 cases in my GIVI bags on the LMIII. The Cal Vin is NOT a B double E double R-U-N bike :undecided:
