Title: Flat slide carbs
Post by: dxhall on November 12, 2020, 02:54:00 PM
This has got to be the dumb question of the day.  I’m reassembling the flat slide carbs on the  Eldovert.  My recollection is that the longer of the two flat sides of the slide goes toward the motor.  The manual, though, shows the slide oriented the other way.  Thus:

Has my memory failed, or is the manual wrong?

Edit:  it’s on p. 106 of the link

Put the side with more wear on the downstream side - towards the motor. The wear is caused by being sucked towards the motor.
