Does anyone know if a SPII fairing will work for SP? Someone on this forum is looking for SPII fairing which I have, I just want to confirm that this would not work on my SP. The light housing looks smaller on the SP so I don't think it will work. Hoping the collective knowledge on here will confirm.
Thank you

Got a pic? Do you maybe mean an SP3? I thought the original and the sp2 had the same body work?

Both use same headlight size, difference would be brackets on different front ends unless they were made to stay the same. Keep it for a spare unless it takes up too much room.

The only difference for the SP1000 & SPII is the size of the wheels/tires. IIRC

SP II uses the T5 body work.

I put an SPII fairing on my '85 T-5.
The lowers from an SP will not fit but SPII lowers will.(round head vs square head).
I had to manufacture mounting brackets off the lower triple trees for the OEM fairing supports.
I also had to make braces (off the handlebars) to prevent the fairing from flexing/cracking/breaking.

I have a couple SP fairings that are banged up, but fixable. No hardware or windscreens. I'd let them go cheap if someone wants a project.
