We're getting a number of Silicon Valley refugees to Hawaii.  This is the most well known.

And his company (Oracle) leaves California for Austin, Texas.  Wealthy and their companies are bailing on the Not-So-Golden State.

so did he buy in a high risk lava flow area? that's just me being jealous

No lava flows and he can self isolate the whole island since the State is picking up the tab.  He had bought Lanai which is a smaller island and he owns 98% of it.

He bought the commuter airline that serviced Lanai too.  He has his own private aircraft to fly in and owns the 2 resort hotels operated by Four Seasons.  Nice hotels and expensive.  We could afford it because Mauri gets free rooms as a employee benefit with 50% off for food.  I get the flight benefits discount.   :boozing:
