Lively place! I spotted 10 deer in the field behind the house last night. I'm TRYING to teach Max the schnauzer to keep them out of my 'mater patch next summer!

It is illegal to feed the wildlife here in northern AZ...$300 fine if caught...I only put out water for the birds, but the animals visit the bird bath and the water dish nightly...as well as these Javelina!!      They are "breeding" now...and have little babies (called "REDS") with them... :thumb:

Very cool.  We have our wildlife cams too...  Rare (at least in the Eastern US) "cinnamon" black bear, very common coyote and white tail deer and the elusive bobcat...

Way cool!  :thumb:

We catch the occasional Bobcat also, no Bears, and my goal over the last 5 years is to catch a Mountain Lion (Puma), but they are extremely elusive!

Our black bear population has increased significantly over the last 20 years.  The "official" position is that we do not have mountain lions, although the locals swear otherwise.  However, they have been recently documented in TN (west of us).
