My 98 EV front brake switch is acting up a little and upon removal it looks like I might be missing a plunger or something? Is there anything between the lever and the plunger of the switch. Lil spring or such? Thx

It's a ball bearing I think, hits on the button on switch. Look around on the floor. The size I don't know, but, they have them at the hardware store. That's where I got mine.

I’m leaving hardware store now with 3 ball bearings. “It’s all ball bearings nowadays” lol. Thank you!

Make certain you get it working properly and reliably. Clean out the bore that the ball bearing slides in. The normal fail mode is to stick in the ON position. The taillamp reflectors are plastic. The plastic can handle the weak heat generated by the running filament. The plastic can also handle the high heat from the STOP filament as long as it is momentary or short term. If you run with the switch stuck on, the excess heat will soon melt and distort the reflectors.
