My buddy Jeff has been selling SSR for a while now. They have an adventure bike that he was playing with last time I was over there. He likes them as a low cost alternative to his Triumph line.

Not bad!
Maybe they actually do have some Italian designers?
Come for the bike, stay for the fender ornament!

I can not get over the fact that Bennelli went from 900cc and 1130cc beastly triple motor to these bland turds. I wish their parent company would step up a bit and produce at least 1 halo bike.

Where (or by whom) are they made? 400 lbs, 50 hp, $6k retail doesn’t seem that bad.

They are made in China, by a Chinese company that bought Benelli for the name, the ability to put Italian flags etc all over their Chinese bike etc, and which maintains a ‘headquarters’ in Italy for that purpose. Part of a wider trend which has seen Chinese takeover of many such Italian companies to serve the same marketing motivation, and is a factor in current events into which I am not going to delve further here.

I'm quite happy with my 2017 TNT 300. Anxiously looking forward to seeing the Leoncino in the flesh...

They are nice looking bikes. the ADV bike looks good, like many of us, the Chinese build may be of concern as well as dealer network and reliabilty, I do recall a few yrs back they made a 1200cc ADV bike that looked very competitive with BMW, etc
Lets see what the future brings??? Perhaps comparing it to RE is more realistic

The parent company is SSR out of Shanghai.
I like the little "LION" on the front fender!! :thumb:
Our local Suzuki dealer here in Cottonwood, AZ carries the SSR / Benelli line also. They sell a TON of 4 x 4's and side-by-sides made by SSR. They are about half the price of the comparable Polaris or Can-Am.
Here is another example of a small Benelli... :thumb:

Ever wonder why they're half the price ? . Peter

SSR is an importer and rebrander of Chinese bikes, headquartered in California. The SSR/Italjet I have is made by a different manufacturer than the Benellis they sell (specifically, Longia). FWIW, my Longia is a very well made motorcycle (with a Yamaha clone motor!).

The local dealer told me that SSR flew them and their spouses to the factory in Shanghai last year, that manufactures SSR side-by-sides and motorcycles, and they told me they were very impressed overall. :thumb:
If you look closely, the quality and fit-and-finish of the new Benelli's, (...and the SSR dual sport bikes), is on par with anything else out there, IMHO. :thumb: Just sayin'...  :thumb:
The Chinese, like the Korean's. (Hyundai and Kia for example ), are now giving the Japanese a run for their money...

I'm sure what you say is true. But SSR sells bikes from more than one manufacturer and is based in California. Furthermore, the bikes made by Longia and sold in the US as SSRs are sold by other companies under other names around the world. SSR is not a manufacturer.

These may be cheaper than the Japanese bikes, but you can buy an original, real Benelli for a grand or two. Look at the Wards Riverside Benelli group.
Decades ago, Benelli's almost entire production went to Wards Riverside for the American market (which did not meet expectations).
Just sayin'

sorry, not for me!
I can't tell you how many times I've heard " it's a copy of a Honda" as the poor bastard is trying to get a nonexistent part.
