Pretty nice, and pretty rare. Seems like a good price too.

Too bad about that paint, bet that was a nice bike when black.

How do you know it was ever black? Green was one of the colors 850GTs came in.

I thought that was a bike I'm working on in Dallas. Turns out to be 2 green GT's in the town. I called my friend to tell him & he called the phone #
If you see one that is black w/chrome fenders it's usually a California like the one I'm working on here--------------

I don't know but just thought that was to ugly of a shade of green to be stock. Also thought it should have the chrome teardrop on tank but I guess they didn't all have that either.
I don't know it was black but if I had it it would be.

I've seen maybe 5 different GT's and they were always that green color & no chrome on tank. The Cal I'm working on is only the 3rd one I've seen. Bob Farris in IL has one, his friend and 1st IL rep Bill Price had one, now this one.
-
One of two that I've worked on. The other one was black. I like the green - too many black Loops already.

Decent shape and a fair price.

I think stock colors were black, maroon and green - know that maroon & green were stock options. Mine was maroon. Dont THINK these were imported to the US.
Looking at the heads a '74 should have bolt on exhaust collars - these are still threaded. It does have LH shift (mine was a '72 w/RH shift) Betting it's an early '73. Not that it matters.
The bars, signals, seat, exhaust and floorboards are aftermarket. As a Euro GT, it had a low bar and the same seat as a stock Eldo.
The 4LS front brake works well if set up properly.

Original paint.

I like the green. As said, Black although classy, is too common.
-
Metallic ( emerald?) green was a standard color, at least in Europe.

I'm going to look at this bike. Seller already told me he doesn't know about the cylinders. Anything else in particular I need to look for?
-
Bob Farris in IL has one,
Bob Farris! Sort of off-topic, but I was trying to remember that guy's name for the longest time. He's still around? Before I bought my '74 LAPD Eldo, I visited him to look at an Eldo he was selling with Amal carbs. Purred like a kitten and he was practically giving it away, but I balked at the carbs. What an idiot. That was like 25 yrs ago, and he had an amazing hoard of bikes.

You sure that seat didn't come on a GT variant? I thought they were (and still are) sold as for the GT model....I bought one new years ago for my '74 LAPD, one of my big regrets for selling.
-
There is (or was) a guy in Michigan with (or had) a maroon version. He put a Convert engine and twin-disc front end on it, plus a bunch of Harley parts.
-
The bike belonged to a friend of mine who passed a few months ago...his brother is selling it...can't say about the the cylinders but there are a lot of non original parts on it...

Bob's doing well, riding a daily Convert. Most all the bikes & parts are gone. He parted out a whole bunch of Guzzi's over the years.

He was the first person I ever bought used Guzzi parts from back in the early 90's...super nice guy
