Because of a crack on the stockers, and NGK iridium plugs require larger diameter caps, I need to replace plug wires on my 2000 Quota 1100ES.
What is the best place for plug wires, be it a dealer, on the internet or local auto parts store?

NAPA metallic! https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BEL734803 (https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BEL734803)

That's not bad if you want to make your own. Amazon also has wire. I bought this when it was about $20, do a search for prices:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q1P5QJS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Or 20':
https://www.amazon.com/Stens-135-004-Spark-Plug-Wire/dp/B001OK9SQW/ref=pd_day0_1?pd_rd_w=x7Zq6&pf_rd_p=8ca997d7-1ea0-4c8f-9e14-a6d756b83e30&pf_rd_r=T73V7T45J2HS0697BK6K&pd_rd_r=690435c2-2889-43b2-9e36-690be1eac396&pd_rd_wg=ZJ1Ni&pd_rd_i=B001OK9SQW&psc=1
MG Cycle has kits and auto parts stores used to at least carry individual wires with ends.

Wires should be metalic core with NGK ends. NGK ends are available in several configurations for plugs with threaded tops or the snap lock style with the proper 5 ohm resistance. Prices for ends are usually around 5 - 10 $. The ends have a screw in the center that penetrates up the metallic core of the wire. If the wires are not original you could always convert them back to OEM using parts from the usual sources.

Thats a very good breakdown of the different models. It confirms what I have always thought, the resistor is for Radio/TV noise supression.

And from what I believe I have read, keeps noise out of the ECU and components.
And while we're at it. Normally, resistor caps or resistor plugs. Not both. Except....Manual for my EVT calls for both plugs and caps. Verified my stock caps as 5k ohm and it does say NGK BP"R"6ES.

Down here, at the other end of the world, I've found black wires & caps are available from a variety of sources, but the fancy red wire & caps were harder to find. Made by NGK Racing (not NGK, seems to be an independent arm). At least before -, it was cheaper (& easier) to get all from the Green Spark Plug Company in the UK. It was cheaper to get, say a box of plugs, from them than anywhere local.
