Title: 2004 EVT Fairing Rubber Trim Help? Resolved!
Post by: Tom H on February 02, 2021, 06:29:36 PM
The rubber trim that goes in the turn signal cut outs. Which way is it supposed to face? Silly me, I though both sides would have been the same.

Rounded end forward........Conc ave end forward? Toward front of bike.

Could someone have a quick look please.

Thank you,
Tom

It fits down in the hole around the turn signal. There is a strip of trim/molding tape that holds it in place.

I'm starting to think that the concave end faces forward. That would make the rounded end slide over the turn signal easier.

Thank you!

I cannot recall the trim on mine being made to that particular shape. That being said, it was in pretty poor condition when it was junked and I took little notice of how it was made. Bought some strip rubber from a local supplier. Just flat stuff, nothing fancy but it stopped the blinkers from banging against the "cut outs". Good luck in your quest Tom H :thumb:

I decided it must have the round end to the back and the concave flared end forward. Some new 3M trim tape and all is well.

Thank you!!!!
