Bit of a shock and a little pang of heartbreak to see parts of my old 01 Jackal "Too Loose Le Goose" being callously auctioned off over the months on ebay like so much chopped liver. But, it was totaled so maybe parts of it will continue to live on. Kind of like being an organ donor. I guess.
I miss that bike. My old Cali 3, the "Guzzilla" is ok, but ......

Aawww. Sad . Maybe the bits will help someone else keep their baby alive

better than being stuffed in a crusher I guess. As stated, It'll live on as parts of other bikes.

On the flip side if the bike wasn't totaled and you wanted to repair it, you would most likely have relied on other people's parts bikes to fix it.
Parting out motorcycles its not a callous act its a good thing.

Yep, I know it's a good thing and it gives life to other bikes.
So far it was my favorite bike. I am grateful for the good times that I had with it.

I have several old 50's Mercury outboards. If it weren't for used parts from parted out motors I would be dead in the water. I have a complete Merc500 that I am not going to do anything with, hard to part it out but I had to take a couple of hard to find magneto parts off it so it will be parted out anyway. It was hard to do, I tried to give it away but no one wants it, shipping cost is the killer.

I get upset when a perfectly good vehicle gets parted out because there is more profit to be had.

Too true. My old Jackal was totaled, so thats the crux of that biscuit.

Agree with Turn...valuable parts that have been rescued to bring someone's project back to life again! :thumb:
