I attended that one. 4 hot laps broad sliding.
Yack yack on PA, Kenny never says a word, all the Yamaha royalty there,
PA guy, "Valentino (Rossi) would you like to race that?"
VR: "Noooo, looks a little bit dangerouss...."
KR (first words of the night): "He's smarter than he looks."

I saw Kenny ride a few laps of that loud and powerful TZ750 at Del Mar one year...
He said it was the only motorcycle he ever rode that scared him!!

Despite all of the rumors , what really killed the TZ 750 powered dirt tracker was very simple , the twin cylinder 4 stroke race bike was faster everywhere else than the couple of really fast miles .

Saw him on a 250 in Charlotte back in 1977. No other bike came close

Kenny looks pretty darn good for 60.

The muscle memory of falling off this thing was pretty strong, along with the knowledge that one does not bounce as well at 60 as one did in your 20s.
Good to watch though.
