Hi, I have a V7 II ABS Special which I enjoy riding (that is after installing Hagon rear shocks, and a Beetle fuelling map). I am now going to install Bitubo JBH cartridge and spring sets in the forks as I find the stock setup is too stiff and slow to damp and was wondering whether any other members have experience or advice with setting these units up?
Cheers,
JRI

What are your sag measurements ? I have V7 ll Stornello and found the fork springs too soft and under damped.
I installed 10 mm spacers and 10 wt oil . The static sag is now around 19 mm = 14% and dampening better . Have just done a 2000 km ride down our west coast . Big improvement no bottoming out under braking and hitting bumps . I would much rather be on the hard side than soft with fork springs .

The front sag (w.r.t fork extension) is around 40mm fork travel, and the rear sag (w.r.t shock travel) is around 20mm.
There is so much stiction this time of year its hard to be totally accurate with the forks, but I've had the bike from new and its not been dropped or become misaligned. I also use 5 wt oil as I originally found hitting acute bumps was over-damped in compression causing the front to buck violently.
