While going through a bunch of photos, actual prints not digital, I found this decal from the Moto Guzzi Correspondence List. MGCL.
Lots of fun back in the day... kinda like here.

Yeah I remember..
Nice Art!
Someone put that on a tshirt for me.

There was another cartoon, monthly, about an old codger on his Guzzi. The one I remember , he was wearing a full face helmet asking "How are you supposed to spit?".
-
I certainly miss that monthly mag , Canada post changed magazine mailing rates and that was the end of it for me :( . Peter

For Moto Uno. Frank Wedge will send you the monthly MGNOC news letter by Internet. Membership is still $30.00/yr.

Does anyone know if Tom Chipley is still kicking and contributing to the MGNOC newsletter? I always enjoyed his cartoons and stories. Thanks!
-
I still have a stack of MGNOC News from late 90’s on. Not too many old members here now. Enjoyed Shorty,s Jes Ramblin’ writings.
-
Yep a lot of fun. That old list was cool.

John, I'm a sucker for old decals...yes please.
Coming to Michigan this summer for the rally?

That wasn't all that long ago ................was it? I knew Tom Chipley and remember when he took the big leap and bought a fuel injected Sport 1100. If I'm not mistaken this was the first Guzzi FI bike. Beautiful in it's yellow livery.

I posted here on this subject a while back. My memory is that MGCL was the creation of a member of Euro-moto, which BTW still exists. This wasn’t actually all that long ago on the time scale of members here. Late 90s.
Nice sticker

That cartoon accompanied a Tom Chipley story about a guy who somehow sped his mind and anatomy up to that of a bird, which gave him super reflexes and the ability to ride fast and fearlessly, leaving his fellows far behind . Tom designed our old Oklahoma Guzzi logo. I still have the original drawing in my Guzzi stash.

I met a lot of rally goers back in the late ‘90s and on and think I may have have met him at one of Luaps SW Missouri rallies. Have lots of photos I will look through. I DO remember sampling David Massy’s white light lightning at the OK rallies. Good times, good memories, but I made the decision to quit riding about three years ago. Enjoying the grandkids now.

I could be wrong on this but IIRC Frank Wedge had a '93 Cali with FI as an option. Both of my '93 Daytona 1000's have FI.

I'm sure you know that more than a few of us have slowed down a bit, got smaller bikes, or quit riding. Don't quit hanging around with us online, or coming to events. DRIVE to a rally if need be. Hell, lots of us are hauling bikes in on trailers or toy haulers just to see amigos and sit by the fire. C'mon Down! Oh, and Dusty, (https://scontent-dfw5-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/p960x960/161574949_3811471785587591_5906787526845542450_o.jpg?_nc_cat=107&ccb=1-3&_nc_sid=3b2858&_nc_ohc=x7erSeJdp90AX8ZED1K&_nc_ht=scontent-dfw5-2.xx&tp=6&oh=468e9c1962d7a50fe1fe6a59459d7209&oe=60756753)

Found it! It’s not in bad shape for as old as it is. PM me an address and I’ll drop it in the post.

I think the old MGCL was started by Roy Harvey? I remember all of those early computer days. Roy and I were together last year at a small, Oregon Guzzi Rally and strumming guitar together in the back yard of Gary & Jerry Jenkins. We had fun chatting about the chat history.

Yes, I am that old.

I don't know if he started it or not.. but he was the guy when I joined. Pretty much there was just one Guzzi list, and *everybody* was on it. I used to struggle with Natasha, MGCLs robot.. she would occasionally kick me off.

Then we have likely met , although I am a lightweight and never sampled any of David's "twice filtered" white lightning  You could get in the car and come to the Okie this October .
Sadly David left us a couple of years ago , still miss the old guy .

I left that list when I got hell for 'selling' things on the list.
I was GIVING AWAY Centauro and Sporti chips, and I made the mistake of asking for a couple bucks shipping. I believe that pissed of the person that was charging BIG bucks for the chip, so I was told I had to stop 'selling' chips. From then on I didn't even mention shipping and just gave them out.
That was annoying.

I was posting sometimes but mostly lurking on the list from WebTV. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSN_TV I wasn't sure how the "new World Wide Web" would work. My Leading Edge desktop was more of a word processor.    4 laptops later.....talk about electronic waste.

David had wine too! Yeah, I know about his passing. And many others also.
