Title: v9 Roamer bar risers?
Post by: bad Chad on March 17, 2021, 01:59:17 PM
I want to raise the bars.   I bought a set of bilt 22mm risers that seem pretty nice, however the bolt center on the risers are 32-36mm,  and they don't fit.  As I measure, Guzzi chose to use a 40mm distance center to center!  Anyone know where I can find risers with a 40mm bolt pattern?

I don't know whether this would work on the v9 or not, but do you remember when people were putting chrome socket underneath there with a longer bolt into the top trouble clamp? Would that possibly work on the v9?

Craftsman forget the size but I've got two of them from the Stone

Shaft collars work well, too.  A couple of them stacked together will get you right at an inch.

LSL has bar risers for the V9:

But I guess shaft collars will do the trick for less $$$.

Thanks, but those are bobber clamps, a little different.

Shaft collars?   Is that like a cock ring?   Just kidding, but really, what are shaft collars?

All resolved.  Thanks for the good ideas.   Used a rat tail file to increase to bolt pattern, worked like a charm.
