I like that one, especially the Krausers. Also, that looked suspiciously like a Commando wheel next door.

Sorry - Honda wheel, but I would love to see the rest of that garage.

An interesting thing about the bike the OP is presenting is the front fender. In '83 and '84 there were two variants offered in red and white. One was primarily red, the other white and red. The color fields were simply swapped. what is red on one is white on the other. So, as delivered, this bike would have a red front fender. Just a curious observation on my part. Over the years of my passion for SP's I've owned both variants. The red/white bikes were much more common, in fact I've only ever known of two. The one I had and the one owned by Curtis Harper.
Anyway, This SP looks really clean and mostly original. If you're built like a gorilla, short legs and torso and long arms, they are fantastic sport touring mounts. My wife and I, in our younger years, amassed over 150K miles traversing the country on our SP's.

Less white & red than red & white SPs out there. Good looking survivor. :thumb:

This is my white/red SPNT. The original owner ordered the bike from Woods Motors in LA . Meanwhile both Monroe Motors in San Francisco and Brooks Cyclery/ Euromart had red /whites on the floor

I want the FXRT! I'd still be riding mine if not for a careless driver in Paducah, Kentucky back in 1999.

:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Good to see a survivor since the trend with a lot of guys was to take a SP and change the bike into a "cafe".

What works for SP bikes for someone 6' and over is that the oem seat is fairly flat and you can slide your bum back and stretch out. The SP is a sport tourer before there was such a term.
