Title: Cameron Beaubier in Moto2
Post by: Yukonica on April 02, 2021, 03:27:48 PM
First Moto2 race for Beaubier (this time around): grid on 22 and finish in 11th. Last laps paced at top 6.
I am betting he'll step on a podium this year.

Maybe, but I doubt it. As far as places went it was a good result for a first time Moto2 appearance BUT he was 17 seconds behind the winner which is basically in a different post code. Add to that the Losail track is a bit of an outlier as far as tracks are concerned and it throws up results that aren't necessarily consistent with the rest of the European championship and 6 other riders DNF'd so you can't read to much into it, not yet.

I wouldn't bet against Cam, he's really good.  Too bad Yamaha didn't have a seat for him in WSBK.

Joe Roberts has been really good in Moto 2, he could content at the next level.

Looks like Cam upped the ante and qualified in Group 2 today.  Joe's 8th.
