Funny, there is no such bike as a 1200 Sport Breva.

While not applied for Marketing purposes, the name Breva was in fact connected behind the scenes to the 1200 Sport in various Government Certification and State Registration documents. For example, go to the NADA GUIDE for used 2008 values and you'll see Breva and Breva 1200 Sport listed.

I'm sure that attaching the Breva name...which was already in the system...made the process easier to get the 1200 Sport through the Regulatory process. Particularly, as a one-year-only model here in the U.S. They probably considered it as a Trim package derivative, as opposed to a standalone model.

I know Steven, I was just playing around.   There  was a 1200 Breva in the EU, and in USA sales flyers  , I have one!   But at the last minute the brain trust a Piaggio chose not to import it, as I think you are right, they thought it was too close to the Sport.

1100 or 1200, they are both really good all rounders in my opinion.

I agree.

I have a  black/white 2008 1200 Sport with color-matched (black) Norge Hard Bags, Aprilia Mana handlebars, a Laminar Lip and a Red 1100 Breva seat...with the black/white seat cowl. It's a "keeper."

One of the best, if not the best, bikes I've owned over the past 47 years.  She's now gone on to join another WG member's stable.  Ran as good the day she was sold as the day she was purchased.  Maybe better.

Here's my 1200 Sport in 2010.  How did Guzzi get these bikes into the country with this stock exhaust??  Loved the sound!
