Vagrant and I were there just before lunch. Just got home with an empty tank and bald rear tire. Was a good day to be riding, as long as you had a full tank.

Exciting ride up. Keep moving, that's for sure. The first level parking lot is where my buddy dropped his brand new Indian and he couldn't get out from under it.

Well, am I embarrassed. I've been to the top of Brasstown Bald more times than I can count. But after living and riding in North Georgia for some 34+ years until retirement, I had never heard of (nor ridden, obviously) Bell Mountain and Shake Rag Road. On my to-do list now.

Good on you Mike! Now I don't feel so bad. That's the nice thing about following someody, you sometimes find new roads. FYI, never try on a weekend.

Well, am I embarrassed. I've been to the top of Brasstown Bald more times than I can count. But after living and riding in North Georgia for some 34+ years until retirement, I had never heard of (nor ridden, obviously) Bell Mountain and Shake Rag Road. On my to-do list now.
Well when I took Vagrant there I missed the right road by about 100 feet. I had only been there once, and I was just exploring things I saw on the GPS screen as I drove by. It is nowhere wear as high as Brasstown, but in interesting road, and great view. One lane, two way road. Avoid on the weekend.
