Title: DSB08 code on 2010 Stelvio
Post by: muddyjwj on May 28, 2021, 12:35:55 PM
I am getting a 08 code on my 2010 Stelvio.  When I looked at the diagnostics I am getting an "X" under DSB08 and the "X" is not in the active column, but in the memo column.  I did a little research and found that DSB08 is an oil pressure anomaly.  How does this differ from DSB07 which is an oil sensor failure?
I plan to clear the code and ride the bike for a while and see if the code comes back.  I can almost guarantee it will because it seems I get the warning indicator every time I travel a more than 3K RPM on the tach and at one steady RPM for more than 2 or 3 minutes.  Any suggestions on what to do next if the code comes back?

08 is no oil pressure & 07 is the sensor is broken. Almost everyone has 08 in memory.

From a momentary loss of oil pressure after an oil and filter change ...... a second or two of clattering until oil pressure builds up?

Have a great holiday weekend!

Sometimes the gasket from the oil pan gets blown away inside the pan. There your oil pressure flows away. Errors come for a reason, just ignoring them could be an expensive thing.
