Title: Longer baffles (DB Killers) for Agostini exhaust?
Post by: mr_pacman on May 31, 2021, 10:02:31 AM
Does anyone know if longer DB Killers / baffles are available for the Agostini exhaust?

I've tried the exhaust with baffles out which was insanely loud, obnoxious, embarrassing and may have caused me to incur some brain damage along with definite hearing damage.

Baffles in is better, but I wouldn't mind if they were slightly more toned down.

I do have the stock exhaust that came with the bike (2014 V7) but thought I would see if longer baffles were out there.

I did email Agostini directly but have heard they are not great with email communication.

if you can't find longer ones, use channel lock pliers to pinch down the interior end of the tube a bit?

I have been researching longer baffles for a Hitchcocks BSA Goldstar pipe I bought for my Royal Enfield 500 and Dennis Kirk and others sell Cobra baffles in various diameters and lengths. Might be worth checking out. I too have Agostini pipes on my V7 III Special and they are just a little louder than I like, but sound glorious! Please let me know if you find something that knocks a few more DBs off.

Do a search on ebay for universal DB killers. I bought a set for my Ducati and modified them to my liking. Most are around 10 bucks a pair. Good Luck!

After going for a long ride last night I think I'm ok with the way it sounds with the baffles in.  Might not be worth exploring aftermarket alternatives for me as I doubt I'll notice the difference.
