Just an interesting tidbit today on the Mother Road. This fellow is traveling from Tombstone to Chicago in his rebuilt this Dodge and home made trailer.

huh? It's the Great Race on the 21st. At the Sapulpa Car Museum with the big gas pump on north side of Rt 66. During lunch time on Monday, the 21st.

It's a '30s Dodge with a '70s Plymouth suspension and Challenger 318.

Apparently the rules have been loosened , last I checked memory says it was like 1930 .

Is there an age limit for the cars that can enter the race?
Any car up through model year 1974 is eligible to enter. For purposes of scoring, the older the vehicle, the better the age factor adjustment the team will receive. Newer vehicles are permitted in Regional Rallies. But for the Great Race, the vehicle must be 1974 or older.
Anything that might be perceived as fun must be approved by moderator prior to posting.

I saw the entry list, 150 cars, everything from the 'teens thru the '70s. Looks like a good mix, only saw a single car for ea year and model. Entry is $8500 fee.

This has gained no traction. My plans have changed. I'm riding to Arkansas on Tuesday, so I'll be doing yardwork and packing the bike on Monday.
If anyone makes it, please give us a report. :laugh:
