Just recently my 1200 Sport 8v instrument cluster plastic screen developed a crack (see photo). Any inspiration out there for a repair/replacement?

Given the fracturing in the middle of the crack I don't think you'll be able to effect a long term repair. Give Pete Roper a call he may well have a dead dash that you can harvest a screen from

I’ll do that. Do you reckon they can be dismantled and reassembled (water tight) though?

I haven't tried it personally but there are people on here that have. I'll PM you a document on disassembly

Yes they can.
It takes some time and patience but definitely doable.
Find a clean work bench and some time.
Getting the screen to unstick is tricky, and an angled dental pick to take out the sealant helps.
