Nice time! A few of us NE Ohio Guzzi breakfast folks stopped in. Aaron, one of the BMW techs, invited Mark and me back into the shop area to see a lovely Convert with front drum brake the owner had purchased for his collection. Nice looking older Guzzi! My 30 year old Black and Yellow Bumblebee R100GS got some attention in the parking lot, too.
The brats were the best ...... have to find out the brand. Just a bun, brat, and some mustard. All was good.
Good to catch up with you guys (Mark, Bill, Art.)

Hey Bob
Thanks for buying and nice to be out and about. Before someone jumps into on the Convert remark - that was an Eldo with the drum brake.
I know we were talking about my Convert so a little converted on the bikes….

Might Aarons' last name be Johnson? Formerly worked for Ed Scott MG, Swansy, NH, Powersports, Keene, NH, Walt Sigl Motorcycles Harrisonville, NH. He's the best ever on blending? modern ECU programs with a certain '93 Daytona ECU. Ever grateful for his skills, generosity and kindness. R3~

R3, I don't know if Aaron worked for Ed in NH. I'll ask the next time I stop by the BMW shop. Coincidentally, I purchased my 2008 1200 Sport from Eddie in Oct of 2009, picked it up in April 2010, and rode back to Cleveland OH, thanks to Tom volunteering to drive us over and follow me back. I've attached the short video Tom took of the Sport and me on the ride home.
It would have been easy for Ed to simply have asked if I wanted a Norge or Sport. I think I knew the answer, but I was really taken by the looks of the 2v Norge. Instead, Ed asked me the following:
Q. On what type/style bikes have you spent most of your saddle time?
A. BMW K100RS, K1100RS, K1200RS.
Q. Have you owned a BMW touring bike?
A. Yes. A K1100LT.
Q. For how long and how many miles?
A. One season and 7500 miles.
Q. Then what?
A. Traded it on another RS ...... a K1100RS .
Eddie: "buy the 1200 Sport!" I did, and never looked back. Possibly the best bike I've owned over the past 37 years.

Saw the title and thought, why is a bike shop inviting kids in?
