I have ridden them...and always wanted one...in RED or YELLOW!

Nice video. I had a 1978 P200E in the late 80's, bought it for $800, which I thought was expensive at the time, I rode the crap out of that thing and sold it for $800. I wish I still had it. I have been itching to get another vintage vespa but the prices are crazy.

I suspect a nice 1978 P200E in excellent condition today, would easily go for $3,200-$4,000 or more...much more!!

I rode a bright yellow LX150 to work about 4 miles one way for a year. I loved it. It was like a magic carpet ride and could carry a weeks worth of groceries. The guys at my favorite tire shop would holler at me making fun of me as I passed every evening on my way home. I sold it to a classically beautiful Vietnamese girl in Springfield, MO for $2500 5 years ago with less than 10,000 miles on it. I don't think anyone made fun of her riding it since they were a perfect match.

Just sold my 2011 Vespa S150ie this past spring.
Bought new in 2012 and i commuted on it for 9 years. It had 45,000 kms when I put it up for sale, but the thing never burned a drop of oil. I did clean it up nicely with new tires and brakes for the sale. None around here with that kind of high mileage so I listed it at $1400 cdn.
Well I under-valued it big time! The phone started ringing in less than a minute and I had an e-transfer in my account for the full amount in 2 hours, sight unseen! I actually thought it was a scammer initially.
Never sold a vehicle that quick, and I'm sure that my Guzzi won't sell that easy...

Good to see Vespa fans here. I grew up on those things, and have had quite a few versions in my lifetime.
The recent ones I have are a P200e and and a P125x (177cc now)

I think, for just puttin' around the hood, a 150cc size would be just fine. :thumb:  :boozing:
A few cool *NEW* examples from EURO-CYCLES of Las Vegas thumb:

In Ohio is legal to park in sidewalks (as long as you are not blocking anything) for 150cc and under, so that size is actually very convenient for city use.

Oh, that's probably why I got cited for parking my CB350 in 1970 on a sidewalk in Cleveland Heights, Ohio....damn displacement!
Great video Bob, Thanks for posting!
