I have the clutch installation tool if anyone needs to borrow it I’m willing to share with any forum members that needs it pay shipping and return it or pass it along to the next person in need. It’s not a necessity but may be quicker and easier for some people than making one. I ordered it and then made one for about 6 bucks before it got here. Wish I’d made some pics, it’s really pretty simple. I’m in sw Virginia retired and starting to get bored and restless. I don’t know it all but do have a lot of mechanical experience and a little common sense. If I can give someone a hand let me know.

I purchased the MG Cycle tool and didn’t take the time to learn how to use it. I bent not one but two intermediate plates.

I was fairly warned by Guzziology and just kept tightening.

Did you do that with the tool or installing trans?

I did it by tightening down the clutch mount bolts with the intermediate plate not lined up with the flywheel. I didn’t realize that I was supposed to use the clutch tool to compress the pressure plate and then seat the intermediate plate. I was just using the tool to line up the clutch plates.

At least that wasn’t to awfully expensive to correct.

Where in SW VA? I’m in Saltville and do commonly need some common sense applied, or so says my wife.

Just the cost of a plate and shipping and a few days lost time on the rebuild. Pretty standard stuff for me at least building a new marque.

Trammel gap mtn. It’s about 20 minutes out of st.Paul. Looks like we’re practically neighbors.
