Approach with a large wad of 100 dollar bills, to fix everything that needs to be. Start with a top-end rebuild...

he added this in reply to a question:
"1 bike with upgrade engine that needs installed. I have a 69 Ambo too. It needs put back together. Fresh cylinders and completely rebuilt heads. Good rubber. 2850
Leroy
Has chrome tank sides that will clean up nice but it has seen some sun in its past and could use paint.
Leroy
Leroy Gray
It also has a cush drive 75 850t set up"

Having been down this road before I do not think $3250 is a good deal or even a place to start negotiations. Knowing too much is sometimes a double edge sword.

more questions than answers... why photo the airbox and not like, a clear pic of the bike

I think the pictures don't do it justice. When you show up to look at it or worse pick it up you are going to say to yourself "this isn't the bike in the pictures." I bought an old Yamaha on line that looked pretty good in the ad, it wasn't worth half of what I paid for it. I put more money and a lot of labor info it. I finally sold it for almost as much as I paid for it. Never again. It looks pretty rough to me and probably worse in real life.

Leroy is a member of the Facebook "Loop Group" that I run. IIRC, the "upgrade engine" is a Convert unit, the one in it needs the top end done. The '69 Ambo has the "fresh cylinders and completely rebuilt heads".
