Thanks Charlie, some pretty rare iron showed up. I haven’t seen a Franklin at a car show since I don’t know when.

Like the Studies too, both the stock green one, and the modified.

Sorry I missed that one.  Looks great.  And I love that stock Gremlin.  The older I get, the more I appreciate  unmolested older cars.

In the very first photo, I see the V-50 III I bought new. Hated it, sold it cheap to my friend (who loved it for about 12 years and had it painted white with stripes). He'll be pleased to see it in good hands!

I was trying to remember who the previous owner here was, thanks for responding. Your friend lived in PA? It still had a PA inspection sticker on it. Went to GA next and then NC. After a lot of work (little things, but a bunch of them), it's finally "done". I've put about 500 miles on it so far and have to say that I really enjoy it. Rochelle, the lady I bought it from, owned it from 2000 to 2021 and only put 800 miles on it during that time. I was out thrashing the living daylights out of it yesterday on backroads up around Breezewood, PA. Reminds me a lot of my Morini 350 K2.

This was after the first long shakedown ride. "Touring mode".

When it gets cold, I have this nice fairing to put on. Made just for the V50 III apparenty.

Yes, my friend lives in Wilkinsburg, PA. I bought it as a new leftover in 1983 (believe it's a 1982 model) and sold it to him in 1986. My recollection is that he claimed to have owned it for 12 years, which would have him selling it in 1998. But two years difference (from 1998 to 2000, when Rochelle acquired it) probably isn't significant. I could ask him if he knows the woman's name. I do know that he sold it to a woman somewhere in the South.

Just checked, and yes, my friend sold it to Rochelle. So the loop is closed!

Cool! I really wanted a leftover "rootbeer brown" V50 III as my first Guzzi. Snavely Service in Arlington, VA had them for ~ $2500 IIRC. But, I had just bought a new VW GTi and hadn't been working at National Geographic long enough that I could get a loan to buy one. Only 38 years later, I finally have one.

Me either until "jumpmaster" brought it here. Seems it would only fit the V50 III (II has different signals, located elsewhere) or the unfaired, non-Custom V65. I'd really like to know who made it. Mounted it to the bike last week and went for a ride - reflects lots of engine noise and a little wind noise about mid-helmet, but very good protection otherwise.

Thanks for the pics, Charlie.  There's a nice variety of machines there.
