Rode from Cincinnati to Eureka Springs on the Norge with the wife. Staying in a cabin in the woods for 5 days. Anybody have suggestions for good rides in the area?
Thanks,
Jon

Jon, there are no bad rides in the area!
Several fun destinations. Ozark Cafe in Jasper. Cliff House Restaurant south of Jasper. Low Gap Cafe near Ponca. Evening ride through Boxley Valley to view the elk herd. The Hindsville Cafe at Hindsville. Etc, etc... The roads getting there and back are all good...

All of the above for sure! Hard to find a bad road anywhere there. Any of the roads to and around Harrison.
If you like music, the Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View is a fantastic ride there and back, and an interesting place to visit also, usually with live music being performed regularly.
Push Mountain, Peel Ferry, just about any 200 mile loop and you'll be smiling all the way!

All that and for additional challenging roads take 123 south of Mt Judea to Sand Gap and Push Mtn Road (Ark 341).
So far as scenic and fun there is also the Peel Ferry across Bull Shoals Lake on Hwy 125 that connects Ark to Missouri. Another good one is burgers at the Oark Store in Oark Ark.
I've now got to add Hindsville Cafe to my next place to try.

Epic day ride: click the link: https://goo.gl/maps/zCdDf4rd7FLNGy6A9
South on AR-23, then East on AR-215. Plan on lunch at Oark General Store,
http://www.oarkgeneralstore.com/
then enjoy serious twisties on the way back to Eureka Springs, including AR-103, AR-123, AR-74, AR-43, and AR-21.

We've eaten Sunday Brunch there, a couple times this summer. Good, good!

Check out Beaver Lake and Tuner Bend store on the Pig Trail AR23

Hwy 90 which is not far from Eureka is a brand new resurfaced blacktop that is a pleasure to ride. It runs from Washburn MO to Southwest City Mo. I highly recommend. Lots of good twists and traffic isn't terrible.

AR-16 Siloam Springs,AR to Clinton, AR

All good suggestions, I would however recommend staying away from eureka, I rode through Saturday and it was a total cluster @#$k.
A buddy took me to a Little spot off the square in Berryville called La Luna, it’s run by this little Guatemalan lady. Get the pupusas they’re excellent :food: Lilly the owner was a HOOT!

If you get a hankerin' to ride on the north of the boarder cross the peel ferry N to Oldfield, Mo. and take T and UU and down in that area. See towns like Forsyth, Bradleyville, Brown Branch. Very little traffic, just look for Farmall jockeys and deer.

From Chuck:

Nope, none at all  except you can't find a bad road if you tried except for some of the high traffic areas. If you are not use to tar snakes in curves when temps are above 90 it can be a bit unerving to us flatlanders.

All very good suggestions.
War Eagle Mill still has an operating mill that serves stone ground cornmeal with beans plus lots of other goodies.
Blanchard Caverns are well worth the visit.
Hwy 71 from Alma to Fayetteville used to have a big billboard saying how many were killed on this road. Ride your bike on it and then imagine running a semi on this road on a foggy night like I have. The trucks are all on 540 now so you will have the road mostly to yourself.
Enjoy,
Tex

In addition to what has been mentioned above, my wife and I enjoyed a canoe float down the Buffalo River and a leisurely horseback ride to some of the bluffs overlooking the river. We really liked Hot Springs and Greers Ferry Lake.
I don't remember exactly where it was, but there was a very cool antique gas station that made a nice photo backdrop. EDIT: It is at 5 Spring Street, Hardy, AR.

Cliff House has a great view. Low Gap Cafe has the best food in the area in my reckonin' and is a great choice for dinner. In general that part of the country is superb for riding. Good twisty and well maintained roads. Nice scenery. Still rather unspoiled.

Interesting video concept, but can't watch the crazy camera work. Funny how every battlefield was where a pivotal battle occurred during the war.

Wonder why she didn't eat at Ermilio's , best restaurant in NWA .

I guess nobody told her. She's from elsewhere.

I wonder if their vacation is over now?

You'd think Arkansas Tourism would have told her about it, if the place is that outstanding. I think they sponsored her trip. Is the place even more posh than the rest of that town? Maybe they frowned on her pistol grip earlobes...
