Title: V7 Racer - stock?
Post by: dxhall on September 23, 2021, 08:12:32 PM
Don’t think I’ve seen this color combination before.  Is this stock?

Yes, 2016 V7II Racer. Has ABS and traction control. Great bike!

Steel tank, aluminum side panels, plastic fenders.

Steel or plastic tank?

All the V7 tanks 2012+ are steel (though there may be a couple plastic early 2012 on the last of the V7C).

I love the black on these tanks, assuming it’s to replicate the look of the overlapping saddles from the original Le Mans. Would love to see what they look like with the side covers a different color than black. I bet that would stress that black seat/ black tank look even more positively.

I believe someone recently inquired about value on here because they were putting it up for sale. If interested do a search.

I didn’t see any posts about one of these for sale.

I’m curious about real world sale prices for this model because it seems that introduction of the 850cc V7 should drive prices for the older 750cc model into the cellar.  Asking prices for the old model, though, don’t reflect that.

Let the technology prove itself before dropping the value of previous years. Also, maybe once we start seeing an influx of used 850 models, but for now, those are the unicorns, and the 750s are all in “affordable, used but good”. Perhaps the original V7 Racer and cafe might be tanking due to being old enough tech? Still quite the lookers though.
