You can buy mine for 6 grand, it will out handle, accelerate faster ,brake like modern bike and ride better...And stock Nortons will only see your tail light.. it ain't as dainty but it punches hard... :grin:

RER - is that an SR500 front end on your Triumph? If it is you can add a right side disk and caliper. What is inside it that will move it faster than a Commando? My combat 750 is all stock and it feels so mush more powerful than the few Triumphs that I've ridden. It sure has a huge pipe on it. I'm sure it will, I'm just interested to know what you've done.
Sorry to hijack your thread JJ - that desert Triumph is simply gorgeous, but I would get bored of it pretty quickly I think.

The front end on my Triumph is from a late 90's Honda 750 VFR, 41mm tubes. the brake disc is a 320 mm Ducati and Gold Line Brembo caliper . Yes, the Lester mags were factory on the T140D...The engine has many internal changes but all parts are Triumph except for the Mikuni TM 32mm carbs, Boyer Micro Power digital ignition and it runs fine on 91 octane.. I am no expert but I learned a lot from my record holding Triumph land speed racers..
T140's were detuned to increase reliability and a typically no faster than the 650...my Triumph is not one of them.. I invite anyone to come over and ride it...You be the judge of the bike...I will buy you a beer, lol.
It features the original faded paint, a slight ding, chipped paint on the frame, retro side covers like 60's Triumphs......

Frankly, I like BOTH Triumph's including the RER modified T140D. Fair price at $6K also! :thumb: :thumb:

Nice Triumph scrambler. Might be a Trackmaster or Knight frame. I think the front end is a bit wimpy (although better than stock), especially the front brake. Nice build. I'm putting my 76 750 in a Wasp frame, making something similar.
RER's Triumph is the real deal. I've ridden it. The motor is very strong, the bike Really stops, turns and handles like a dream. Sounds great too

I have ridden this bike and it is an absolute "BLAST" to ride...very light, quick, and nimble...Marginal brakes, however....but that's all OK...as long as you remember which foot to shift the gears with! :laugh: :grin: :wink:
