It starts to be cold here (north) and become dark early and quickly, so I decided to put my Nevada winter rest. Washed the bike well today. Tomorrow we will put it up warm hall for winter. There are enough space to polish it etc. Battery is already taken away. My dad also put something into tank (should help to keep gasoline ok). Now I have also central stand on bike so I can get rear tire up. I wonder should I buy something like this to get front tire up as well?

That probably would help a bit as changing oil/filter?
I also bough a cover for bike (now summer time). Water resistance / outdoor use. But it also has ventilations, so why not use it inside as well as dust cover?

Over all I rode less than I planned, but I'm still pretty happy. All went better than first year, plus I really liked the tires I changed. Helped to control bike on gravel roads. Now it just is looong time to wait for next season :sad:. Starting here about May. Luckily I can go to watch and sit on bike anytime I want.

Let's see here.
Cover: Yes use it indoors as a dust cover. Covers designed for indoor use "generally" are not as heavy duty as ones designed for outdoor use. We are not getting into specialty indoor covers, they can be rather expensive.
Tires: With the bike on the center stand, most of the weight is carried there. Rear is "normally" (there are exceptions like my BMW R75 that the front is off the ground) off the ground. Very little weight on front. If on concrete type floor, your should be good. On dirt, grass, ect. you might want to put a piece of wood under the front tire. For over winter, probably not needed.
Oil change: Three camps on this. Change before or change after storage for the winter and some do both. If it were me and I didn't ride in a bunch of rainy or very dusty weather, I would change after storage. But then again, there are some reasons for changing before that make sense.

Bike is inside. And yes central stand carries almost whole bike. Front tire just hit on floor (not weight or pressures). Good to have that central stand :azn:
I'm quite happy with bike. So not planning to do mods now on winter time. Just would love to get that single seat with backrest finished for next season.

I love my AGV sport Modular helmet :grin:. Even as Schuberth C4 is better made (feel so), the weight is real issue for me. So I'll now try to sell Schuberth away with its Sena system. Probably will not get much but if someone has use for it, good so.
Something I'm not happy? The heated grips I bough

... are very weak (even if I set the maximum power). I should have bough Oxfords... better than nothing, but not much.
The highway pedals? Good quality US-products (these were not cheap either). I still did not get those into position I would have felt comfortable enough. Needs to look on this.
Last summer (June & July) were very warm here. Record hot. As much I like my 3-seasons (Scandinavia) riding clothes (= good choice for price), they felt very warm at hot days (inner liners taken away). So I might be look lighter (mesh) jacket. Just wondering how safe those can be?
I already bough light gloves. Perhaps shoes and trousers as well.
What else ... I have two fuel bottles (1,5l * 2 = 3litres with covers/cases)
