Title: Nice early Aermacchi EBay
Post by: Canuck750 on October 12, 2021, 02:57:21 PM
"1961 Harley Davidson Sprint C 250 2219 FREE SHIPPING TO ENGLAND UK" $2860 USD,

One could probably get it for less if bought in the USA, been for sale for a while on EBAY, reputable seller, I have bought a lot of parts from over the years,

The 1961 is the first year Aermacchi were imported into the USA, in 1960 HD bought 51% of Aermacchi motorcycle division while the parent company Aermacchi reverted back to specializing in aircraft manufacturing.

Sold by Harley Davidson as the Wisconsin before adopting the SPRINT title in 62'. In Europe these were sold as the Ala Azzura (Blue Wing), a pretty rare bike and in complete condition. This early model has plain engine side covers without the Harley Davidson text cast into the side cover and it wears 17" wheels, larger gas tank, big rear fender. If I wasn't already building a 61' Ala Verde tribute I would grab this one.

"Sold by Harley Davidson as the Wisconsin before adopting the SPRINT title in 62'."

Now there's a good name for a motorcycle. Did Guzzi get the idea that state names were cool from HD?
Florida, Nevada, California.

I think he and his wife run it by themselves.  He just redid my Aermacchi crankshaft.  Wish he’d call me back on the other parts.

The road race version of the Sprint / Aermacchi:
