I would love to try out the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR on my V7. They’ve gotten some solid test reviews for dual sport boots. Pirelli states both 110/80-18 and 130/80-17 are available, but I can’t find a supplier in the US that carries those sizes. These particular sizes only appear to be Europe.
Is this a common thing? Being a spoilt American, I assumed we got all the tire sizes.

Pirelli Scorpion STR 120/70-R18, 150/70-R17 appears to be the closest available through Fortnine out of Canada.

Things are gonna get worse before they get better. If you cant find the tire you want, and you NEED a tire, buy something good that is available. I just put on a Conti Road Attack 3 on the rear of my V7 and it is really good.

I’m not talking about sizes that are sold out, but rather sizes that have actually never been imported over here. A lot of sites will display a size and gray it out with an OUT OF STOCK note. But these particular sizes seem to not have been imported to the US, at all. Ever. As if the US distributor(s) selected those sizes and said “we’re not going to offer these in North America.”

These look interesting .Maybe not what you want but might work too? I look at the $50.00 rebate, and makes for a good price..

Thanks! Those are another model I’m looking to try out. The tread isn’t quite as aggressive as I’d like (I do some old dirt roads up here in NH), but they’re still worth testing out. Your link actually helps because I hadn’t realized they had both sizes available.

Looks like $272.94 at revzilla in our sizes. Minus the rebate = $224.94 =$111.42 per tire. No sales tax in NH like Oregon, makes it a very good deal.. :thumb:

I actually went through this exact thing a few months ago when I ordered the Anakee Adventures that Cadre is currently putting on my V7II.
I spent about an hour on the phone with Pirelli USA and went through probably six different people before FINALLY getting told that it is a typo on the US website and it should be removed. The tire in that size does exist (along with a few others not listed on the US website) but they are not being imported to the US due to lack of demand (supposedly). They never did remove it though, and I'm sure you, I, and countless others will spend ages looking for a tire that does not seem to exist. I actually then spent a while trying to find it from another country, but everywhere that listed it (which was not many) said out of stock.
I would really like to try them, hopefully the Anakee Adventures do well enough and I forget about them, but I've always liked and leaned towards Pirelli's

you plus me, they’re obviously missing out on at least a couple hundred dollars in sales, lol. Maybe one day I’ll bite and order them from Italy or the UK. I really don’t see why any adventure tire wouldn’t make its way to America. No matter the size.
