Silly money, for sure.
I like the BringATrailer site, but a lot of the buyers seem to have money to burn.

I think of it as a sellers site not a buyers site. Big block Guzzis are still undervalued thank heavens.

Bring-A-Trailer is not where you find the real value of things.
Although those Honda CT Trails have been that price for quite a while now and MotoCompos are pricey because I don't think they ever came here.

Well, one could take an "average" of prices sold on BaT...craigslist... fleaBay...the MECUM auctions...Cycle Trader...Facebook, etc., but I agree, BaT is NOT the place to BUY...but it appears it is THE place nowadays to SELL!! :wink:

I wish I knew what the magic handshake was to list on BaT. I've tried to list a one-owner Buell S1, and a one-owner Kawasaki ZX-12. Both mint, both no reserve. They want nothing to do with me.

Yes, I often wonder if the site is truly legit, what with the rather crazy prices the auctions bring. They turn down my one-owner Buell S1, and yet they will list something as mundane as a Honda 750 Nighthawk. About as exciting as watching paint dry.

I think they just like certain models. They took my ‘63 Matchless and the support and exposure were great for $99.00. They also took my v50 although I decided not to list it and forfeited the fee. I’ve seen some great friends’ bikes not get taken, like a pristine original GS1100, and more than a couple Japanese bikes with little value get listed, like Nighthawks, 16v Honda 750s etc. Airheads seem to move to the front of the line, as do Nortons and Triumphs and monkey bikes. It’s always interesting.

But did it? Considering all the scams and phony bids on Ebay, I'd bet this guy is still waiting to get paid. Watch and see if it gets relisted. When BaT declined to take my 97 Buell S1, I put it on ebay. Wow! I sold it 3 times! Or not, because each time a bid went above my reserve, the bid would be retracted. Just tire kickers. Complete waste of time. My reserve was $4400, ended up with a private sale for substantially less than that to get it out of my garage.
