Post by: Huzo on October 17, 2021, 06:24:24 PM
Came across it the other day.
The new owner felt the need to strip it. The engine is an A65 S.

Oh sure, sure.  I'm sure it had twin discs.  We believe you Huzo!

(cool looking frame- I'd like to see the whole package...so to speak)

No seriously mate it did....
That front end is 650 Yamaha and it had the twin discs from that. I might find some shots from my time with it.

Looks like mostly Seeley stuff .

 Dusty
Yeah Dusty.
It was actually a bastardised standard A 65 Spitfire frame. I did not do the “bending” of the tubes, but it was more like “kinking” before some refurbishment.
I did the tank/seat in a foam block cut with hotwire then upended the pattern in a wooden box and poured concrete around it.
After getting the foam pattern out, glassed the real tank into the inverse form.
Same for the seat.

I think there are some on a computer.
But anyway, the guy who now owns it is staying well in touch, so I’ll post as he re assembles it.

A late model BSA I came across when attending a friend's funeral in Wellington late last year.
